〔古文〕屰【廣韻】几據切【集韻】訖逆切，𠀤音㻷。有枝兵也。【增韻】雙枝爲戟，單枝爲戈。【釋名】戟，格也，傍有枝格也。【典略】周有雍狐之戟。【周禮·冬官考工記】戟廣寸有半寸，內三之，胡四之，援五之。【註】戟，今三鋒戟也。內長四寸半，胡長六寸，援長七寸半。
又地名。【戰國策】秦舉安邑，而塞女戟。【註】女戟在太行西。
